Stripes of Betsey.....

As I was knitting this shawl, the colors were totally reminding me of Betsey, then it made me think of that homecoming dress hanging in my closet.  Yep that's my dress from Homecoming 95'! My hubby and I wore matching blue and yellow Converse and he picked  me a sweet bouquet of wild daisies that I still have...........ahhh, memories.

So, back to the shawl, I am just finishing up the pattern details and will make it available in the next day or two for anyone who wants to make one for themselves. You can find it on Ravelry or in my Etsy shop.

Flying Saucers Do Exist........

I don't even know how to explain this, but it was freaky!

Green Beans......

Well, it reminds of green beans anyway.  When I saw this yarn peaking out of the new yarn shipment box down at the LYS, I knew it would have to be mine, I am such a sucker for green. Love love love this yarn and really enjoyed making this pattern from Interweave Knits Fall 2009 issue.

Thanks Mom.....

There's a local swap meet that my Mom goes to weekly and has had some really good finds.  A couple weeks ago, she found this super cute vintage hawaiin dress for me for $1.00!  Seriously, $1.00!  I think I need to knit up a cute cardi to go with it.............hmmmmm, what color?

Cruisin with our 67' Airstream Overlander...........

We've always hoped that one day we would own an Airstream, just needed the right one to come along, and here she is!  We spent a good few weeks shining, cleaning, getting new cushions and window coverings.  We took her out recently for the first time and had a few wonderfully, restful days at the beach, can't wait to do it again.....

Little Somethings from my Hubby.........

My hubby volunteers at a retirement community and brings me home goodies just about every week. This is what I got yesterday.  Tablecloths will get a good soaking in Retro Clean and will look as good as new, really amazing stuff!

Hello World! Let the blogging begin!

Hello World! So I've been thinking, considering and talking about blogging for awhile now and well the time has arrived.  There are quite a few blogs that I enjoy reading and getting inspiration from, so I hope that mine will serve the same for others.  I think a blog is such a cool place to share the things you love in life and do it all in one place.

This week, I put out a new knit pattern on Ravelry published in Amanda's Ravelry Shop called "Road to Autumn".  I really wanted to work with Malabrigo Twist, because first of all, I love the color choices, but really because this yarn is soooooooo squishy and soft and feels as smooth as butta to knit with.
