1 year old........

One of my favorite reads is Cakies blog, and her monthly post of baby Soul has made me think of this photoshoot we did for D's 1st birthday, except mine isn't such a baby anymore, this was over 6 years ago now.  Oh man, I miss those baby days! It really really goes so fast!

Gifted......

We had a very handmade Christmas this year and I loved it.  Mom made me a really cool holder for all things needle and thread related and she bought me a bracelet that I have been wanting forever from Liana Kabel - Plastic Girl (I just don't have it yet, since it's traveling from Australia). My sister made me an adorable camera case and my brother's girlfriend bought me some really sweet earrings from oh, hello friend and a Busy Mom calendar, that I really do need to keep my life organized.  I also received some gift cards for J. Crew that I'm just itching to go spend, oh, and my sweet Hubby got me this! Thank you for all the thoughtful gifts!

Merry Christmas!

from our family to yours!
"For to us a child is born, to us a son is given;
and the government shall be upon his shoulder,
and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor,
Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace."

DIY Gift Bags........

I really love wrapping gifts and making them look pretty (almost as just as much as I love receiving a pretty package).  My hubby is always asking "Why do you take so long to wrap when they're just gonna get ripped open?", well here are some pouches that can't get "ripped open", instead they can be used over and over. I bought myself the best wallet this past weekend from Jodie at "Petals" whom by the way is a really sweet gal and it inspired me to create this week. All you need is some felt, ribbon, lace, buttons, maybe some vintage findings and you have yourself some super cute gift bags!

Polyvore......

Have you discovered Polyvore yet?  It's such a cool site and makes it easy to show your wishlist! My BobbySoxie partner aka little sister put this sweet list together and I pretty much agree with her, I wouldn't mind any of it. I'm on my way to make one myself. Go here  to find out more about these beautiful items.

Renegade Holiday Craft Fair L.A.......

Some photos from this past weekend at Renegade.  That's me and Mom in the magbooth, these pictures crack me up!

Soxie's.......

I loved receiving slippers EVERY year from my Aunt Nancy! So, I have written up a modernized take on those beloved “poochies” as we called them, now I'll call them "Soxie's". The pattern is now available in my Etsy shop and on Ravelry.   By the way if you are a knitter or crocheter and have yet to discover Ravelry, now is the time!  It is such an awesome outlet for independent designers!

New Crop.......

I've been knitting away, getting ready for a couple upcoming holiday craft shows. We'll be down at Claremont's Farmers Market this Sunday morning, come say Hi!

Sweater Inspiration.......

I love these vintage shawl collar sweaters. The bunny one is cute! I would totally have bought that one if I had a little person to dress, but instead it has inspired me to make one, maybe for me, or maybe for my 7 year old, only problem is I don't think he'll appreciate the bunnies too much. Dang it, I should have done it while I had the chance, back when he had no opinion on what he wore.
